Project description
Harmonic Light translates the Philips sound logo into a visual experience that fuses rhythm, tone, and light. Using the logo’s audio waveform as a foundation, the piece explores how sound can be expressed through form and color. I analyzed the sound logo in Audacity to extract its waveform and generate a spectrogram—a visual representation of how frequency content evolves over time. Each frequency band was then mapped to visible light wavelengths, converted into hex color codes that reflect the tonal character of the audio: lower frequencies appear as warmer hues, while higher tones shift toward cooler, brighter colors.
